Weekend Treasures.
If I call you darling, will you make me pancakes? As the early hours wake me up, I feel well slept and ready to start a great Saturday. Last nights raindrops were the perfect lullaby, the soothing sound captivated me into a deep pleasant sleep with no care in the world. I love the feeling of laying underneath a warm blanket as mothernature works its wonders outside. So, this morning I easily opened my eyes to the lovely sky and quietly stretch my body as my love is still sound asleep next to me. Bella, my other love is also sleeping and is curled up on her pillow with no intentions of waking up with me as I roll out of bed. I go to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my wash and slide on my new cute uggs that I just bought yesterday. Heaven to the feet, so soft and warm.. perfect for these long lazy mornings.
I have to say, I’m a total morning person and I love the start of the day, new beginnings, new dreams and ready for the most important meal of the day, breakfast. Waffles & muffins it is. Yesterday I started reading a new book ” The House by the Sea” a sunday times top ten bestseller by Santa Montefiore and I grab it with me as I pace towards the kitchen. I read a few pages with my first cup of hot tea as I slowly begin to waken up. I set the table and prepare the lemon muffins and read a couple of chapters while they are baking in the oven. Our day soon begins as the delicious muffin smell lingers to the bedroom and I hear Mr. N waking up and yawning. I put the coffee machine on and soon I hear footsteps to the kitchen.
We eat in peace, Mr. N reading the paper and me my book and once in a while we smilie at each other from across the table. A lovely start to the day and soon we are going out for a stroll with Bella and then for a round of golf if the weather stays clear.
xo Have a pleasant morning everyone
