Not a bad morning coffee view

Ostuni Tip:

The touch of sensitivity: La Sommitá Relais

A rare and unforgettable experience. This hotel was a favourite of mine during our Italy trip that exceeded expectations. This beautiful ancient manor house is surrounded with nature and the old walls of Ostuni Old town. This tranquil place has warm hospitality that shelters you to exclusive privacy or opens up to new flavours of existence. It is hidden between white narrow roads, where you cannot bring your car- The staff picks you up with a tuk tuk style ride that fits between the narrow pathways.

The entire experience was a peaceful silence to lullaby the mind, the hotel was very cool and collected and an indulging luxuries experience. The hotel’s restaurant Cielo was a culinary wonder, where this one Michelin Star restaurants serves delicious Mediterranean cuisine.

The hotel is located in the middle of the old town. It is cozy and elegant with a beautiful design.  I love the Interior of the hotel where there is a mixture of old and new with sleek but cozy furniture. This is luxury with a deep soul.

Our room: La Cattedrale Suite

We stayed in the cathedral suite where its soft colours relax the eyes and the spacious bed allows you to dream freely. The bathroom was stunning, a cave like room where we enjoyed a relaxing bubble bath. The bedroom and bathroom were upstairs and a sitting area was downstairs.

Breakfast

The breakfast was a special treat. It was held in the beautiful courtyard that had stunning trees (with stems painted white) and herbs growing along the side. Freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh fruits, various eggs, cheeses/ cold cuts and local delicacies. Everything was presented in an elegant manner and the tastes were full and luscious. The birds were singing in the trees and we were so happy to start our day right here…

Cheese heaven! My favourite: ricotta spread on crispy country bread with fresh cherry tomatoes, salt and olive oil.

I believe a hotel breakfast say’s a lot about the hotel. It is something I usually look forward to and is my favourite meal of the day.
