Melon Bree & Spinach Italian Sausage Canapés
On Saturday before dinner we gathered at our place for a glass of rosé and some crunchy canapés. I love the feeling when you are a little hungry and you know you are going out for a great meal and then you get to indulge in a pre glass of wine/cocktail and a tiny bite of something georgous both in taste and visually. I love to make canapés as much as I enjoy eating them mainly because of their small size so you appreciate every little bite and flavour it realizes. A true tiny bite of happiness. We paired these with a nice dry cold glass of rosé that we brought back from our recent Italy trip. It had a great soft fresh texture that I really enjoyed. It was called Santa Cristina 2011 from Toscana.
The base for both canapés was thinly sliced & toasted ciabatta bread in olive oil and a sprinkle of finger salt. Below you can see the used ingredients, so you can make some too!
