Afternoon Limoncello in Blush & Black

I will begin by trying and describe the feeling and ambiance of this little bistro favoured by the locals called Grazia & Graziella. Seated like sardines in a tin can, the wooden tables and iron chairs are tightly packed under a beautiful white umbrella with a view of an old ruin. The crowd is enthusiastic, dressed in their saturday best, rolling their cigarettes, showing emotion and standing around waiting to be seated while sipping on their prosecco. The crowd is loud and a mixture of old and young, the way we love it. The weather is warm yet everyone is dressed in black tights, boots and long sleeves, as are we…as we want to fit in. Well, as much as possible, I was practically the only blonde chica and my hair illuminated amongst the contrasting crowd.
My friend and I sipped on dry crispy Pinot grigio from Sardinia while enjoying a relaxing lunch, I had a tuna steak. There was a rustic chicness to the place, the heavenly rosemary focaccia comes in a paper bag, and the calamari is served in a cool tin holder.
… and don’t get me even started on the dessert. We tested tiramisu in 3 different restaurants and this happened to be our favourite (it was also the house special) one. It tasted airy and light and was the perfect way to end a meal accompanied by not only one but 2 limoncello’s. I mean no wonder we had a great time! hehe.
I’m wearing a blush silk blouse by Max & Co. that has interesting details all over it. It has creases, numerous golden buttons and braids on the shoulders. I paired this with black shorts, knee-high boots and a casual linen scarf that I got from Positano earlier this summer. It adds a fresh look to the quite neutral blouse.
/ Iltapäivä limoncellot tunnelmallisessa Trastevere alueella. Lähellä Via della Paglia katua, Grazia & Graziella on paikallisten suosima bistro, missä on rento tyylikäs tunnelma. Siellä istutaan vierivieressä rustiikkipenkeillä ja nautimme paikallisten melusta. Fiilisteltiin ihanaa ruokaa, raikasta viiniä ja iltapäivä meni leppoisasti. Olin varmaan ainoa blondi ravintolassa ja selkeästi erotuin juokosta, onneksi vaatteet oli kuin paikallisilla vaikka oli +24 C lämmintä. Jälkiruoka tiramisu oli täydellinen (ja paras kolmesta vertailu ravintolasta) ja kahdet limoncellot kruunasi kaiken. Ei ihme, että meillä oli kivaa! hehe
Minulla on päällä puuterin-värinen silkkitoppi ja muuten pelkkää mustaa. Paidassa on paljon yksityiskohtia, mikä tekee siitä sopivan juhlavan. Minulla on myös polven yli saappaat, mustat sauma-sukkahuosut ja siistit sortsit. Raikas puuvilla kaulahuivi antoi sopivasti väriä tähän neutraaliin asuun. Cheers!
