A day at the Colosseum in Blue Vibes

A note to self. Do not wear heals to the Colosseum, where the pathways are made from cracked stones and sand! We walked around the historic monuments (yes! in 7 inch heals) in the Roman forum just east from the Colosseum. The sites were beautiful and the traces of ruins show a deep-rooted history that is amazing to witness. After hours of walking in my shades of blue, we rested our feet to enjoy a carpaccio lunch, some garlic spinach and brusechetta’s and a couple of ice-cold prosecco glasses. Oh the feeling when the cold bubbles rest on my dry lips as we  watch life go by in the core of Rome. It was a relaxing moment, we shared great conversations, laughed and satisfied our taste buds with succulent local flavours.

Peplum Obsession. I am a woman who loves peplums as it adds that sleek sophistication to the waist. It accentuates the curves giving an illusion of a tiny waist bringing forth the hour-glass figure. The ruffles add a sweet and sexy femininity that transforms a casual look into something more dressy. The rich petrol blue colour comes alive in natural daylight becoming a deep vibrant tone. I’ve paired this number with shorts and chunky black heals. Golden jewelry really seem to suit this blue tone aswell. The large linen scarf and the splash of turquoise adds freshness to the otherwise dark shades.

/Päivä Colosseumilla sinisissä sävyissä

Ei ehkä maailman fiksun idea laittaa 7 sentin korkokenkiä Colosseumille, sillä kävelytiet ovat tehty hiekasta ja liukkaista mukulakivistä! Käveltiin (siis etana vauhtia!) ja katseltiin raunioita ja ihasteltiin niitten historiallista läsnäoloa. Monen tunnin kävelyn jälkeen lepuutettiin jalkoja carpaccio lounaalla, missä nautittiin Italian herkuista ja jääkylmistä proseccosta. Se oli rauhallinen ja täydellisen kevyt lounas, mikä vei kielen mennessään.

Peplum Obsession. Rakastan peplumeja, sillä ne korostavat muotoja ja kapeaa vyötäröä. Röyhelöt tuo naisellisuutta ja  tekevät arkiasun juhlavammaksi. Tämä petrolin sininen syvä on parhaimmillaan päivänvalon loisteessa. Minulla on muuten aika tumma asukokonaisuus, niin kirkas huivi ja turkoosi laukku tuo raikkautta olemukseen. Sininen sävy ja kultaiset korut tukevat toisiansa ja sopivat erinomaisesti yhteen.
