Ingredients for a perfect morning. It’s a new day filled with new opportunities. The sun is shining, be positive and make this day worthy. Do not wait for tomorrow. Also, remember to smile at someone and pass forward your goodness! My morning bliss starts with a handful of blueberries and freshly squeezed orange juice. Don’t you love those long early mornings when you don’t have to rush anywhere? I absolutely do. After taking a long shower and walking around in my bathrobe, it’s time to splurge on breakfast. After all, it is the first meal of the day, you might as well make it taste and look good. I eat with my eyes and presentation is just as important as the taste. well.. almost as important! Oatmeal porridge has to be one of my favourite breakfasts in the morning, not too soft with the right amount of salt and a dash of milk. I always sprinkle banana slices, toasted nuts/ seeds along with berries.. today is a blueberry morning. I also pressed juice from fresh oranges and made a sweet galia melon smoothie.

Blueberries are always a good idea. These tiny, round blue berries contribute to our wellbeing. They boost our immunity and are extremely high in antioxidants. They are high in fiber, low in calories and lower blood sugar levels. They also contain vitamin C, A and E. So, eat a handful of fresh blueberries a day to stay healthy. We are lucky in Scandinavia to have our forests filled with these blue gems during the summer time!
