‘Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart’

Time for a colourful spring toast. This morning the sun began to rise at 5 am, while I woke up before my alarm rang to a loud screech from a seagull that lives on the rooftop right across from our bedroom. Everyone else still sound asleep, I open my eyes and after a few minutes I get up from bed.  After a nice hot shower and my regular morning routine I take Bella for a walk. I begin to awaken from the fresh spring air and notice the nature around me. A couple of joggers pass by, a squirrel sat on the edge of the tree while a rabbit was eating some grass and the little birds were in full melody already. To be exact the entire park was buzzing with little birds that were chirpping so loudly! Early mornings are full of life before the city awakes.

I’ve just come back homw from work & I have a moment to relax, heaven! While sipping on some hot tea, I make a crispy rye toast with mashed avocado and fresh berries. A combination of sweet, salty and sour makes the perfect healthy toast. Yum, too delicious! The colourful berries make the toast look so adorable, almost too pretty to eat and taste divine. Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart and today this little crispy toast did it for me.

Yesterday I planted some herbs in the balcony and now I have to get some lovely flowers (aka lavender & small olive trees) as well as the weather is warmer. I’m so happy summer is almost here, everything is better when the sun is out!
