Fig & Berry Tart with a hint of thyme

Time to bake! This simple fig and strawberry tart has a subtle hint of thyme in the background. It has a sweet & elegant taste, a perfectly easy and simple dessert that is delicate and beautiful. Figs & strawberries make the perfect weekend tart!

Tart Base

  • 1/2 melted butter
  • 1 dl cream
  • 1 egg
  • 1 dl sugar
  • 2 dl flour
  • 1 dl oats
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Mix the butter, cream and egg. Add sugar, flour & oats along with the vanilla sugar and baking soda. Roll the base onto a greased cake base and cook it in the open (200 C) for about 10 minutes. Spread the tart filling into the half-baked base and cook for a remaining 20-30 minutes. Garnish with icing sugar, honey, figs, strawberries and thyme.

Tart filling (mix all the ingredients together)

  • 1 dl Quark
  • 1/2 dl Sugar
  • 1 vanilla pod (seeds)
  • finely chopped thyme
  • 1 egg
  • 1 dl cream
  • Finely chopped strawberries & figs
