Hey lovely readers,

Learn to live in the moment… I’ve heard 30 is a great age for women as you become more aware of yourself and stop obsessing over minor things. You become more confident with your choices and realize the importance of life, to you. Even though I can’t believe I’ve actually turned 30, I’m welcoming this new era with open arms. “30 is the new 20″ they say and I’m looking forward to new adventures, exciting travels and challenging myself along the way. My personal goal is to improve my photography skills, travel more, meet friends and learn to live in the moment. From here on out, time will pass by even faster.

This weekend has been a memorable one. I began my celebration on Friday already with some champagne at a seaside lounge bar with my family. My parents gave me their old engagement ring as a present, it has such sentimental value to me and I though it was the perfect jewel to pass down to me. I love it, but more importantly I love the symbolism behind it. Then on Saturday, Mr. N and I both celebrated our birthdays with almost 40 of our closest friends. We all gathered at our house for a few drinks and canapes and then went on a 4 hour cruise on a sightseeing boat that we had rented out. Our evening ended up at a night club where we danced the entire night away. We danced so much that my feet hurt the entire sunday. We had a great time & were so appreciative that so many came. Today though was my official birthday and it began with an Italian style breakfast made by my love. We also went out for lunch, took a walk in a cute country town and drove around in heavy rain sipping on tea and coffee inside the car… it was quite cozy. Today has been relaxing, we just got home from the movies and it was the perfect way to start my thirties. Our house is full of lovely flowers from the party and I can’t get enough of these light pink peonies.
