How does a little friday smoothie treat sound to you?! Today I tested a new smoothie bowl that turned out to be creamy and crunchy and with a lovely sweet blend to it. The juicy dates, avocado, banana and coconut cream give the smoothie a thick velvety base and natural sweetness giving it a total dessert-esq feeling to it. This wild lingonberry delight is brilliant in colour and a perfect substitute for evening sweets by the tv, a healthy way to fulfil those cravings. The cinnamon coated cashews give it that autumn taste and make it all that much better. Friday will be all about woolen socks, candles and a flickering fireplace while it rains outside.


  • 1 cup wild lingonberry
  • 3 tablespoons chopped brazilian nuts
  • 1 avocado
  • 1/2 cup Greek Yogurt
  • 1/2 cup coconut cream
  • 2 juicy dates
  • 1 banana
  • Grated ginger (about 1 tablespoon)

Garnish: Cashews (cinnamon & honey), chia, coconut flakes

Pulse all ingredients together in a food processor. I purposely made the texture a bit rough  as I like a bit of chunks in them. Top it off with chia, coconut flakes and cashews that have been gently tossed in a pan with cinnamon and a touch of honey.
