‘Thursday Green Smoothie’

My day started with a delicious protein packed breakfast smoothie to give me stable energy this morning. The comforting texture is velvety thick and sweet from the banana and avocado. You don’t even taste the celery or kale as it is overpowered by the stronger flavours, so don’t worry about that if you are not too fond of all things green! It’s always a must to add ginger and lime (or lemon) into the blend, just to maximise the well-being of the immune system. I love how nourishing these green smoothies are, gives me a real boost and good feeling.

Green smoothie
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 2 kale leaves
  • 1/2 apple
  • 1 banana
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 celery stalk
  • chunk of ginger
  • 1 lime

Blend together into a smooth texture and garnish with hemp seeds, hazel nuts, almonds and sunflower seeds
