Northern Italy

We found a secret garden in Valeggio sul mincio when we stayed in Borghetto that is a time transformation through six centuries. Here it is all about sun flares, rare flowers and serenity, Parco Giardino Sigurtà extends over 600 000 sq. m of beautiful lush gardens. To reach the gardens we literally walked up the spiralling pathway from sul mincio and treated ourselves to an ice-cold prosecco after reaching the top.

The gardens were beautiful to visit in the evening, tt is a place where culture, history and nature flow in perfect harmony and a romantic spot for a stroll or picnic. The views were quite extraordinary and reminded me of the novel ” The Secret Garden” by Frances Hodgson Burnett that I read as a child. We sat in the perfectly cut grass, I had my off-the-shoulder ruffle dress on and watched the most magical sunset as we cruised through the rest of the park in a golf car.
