saturday smoothie

A day started with this rejuvenating smoothie cup will surely leave you energized all morning. There’s a certain sense of accomplishment that comes with working out and getting in a few servings of greens before 10am. Leafy greens like kale, parsley and spinach, sprouts are detoxifying agents that helps break down toxins, while avocado is packed with healthy fats and flax seeds have lots of fiber. Ginger and lemon always do their magic, so I will not even preach about them. This nutritional punch gets your body/ digestion going in the morning and because it has less sugar than with a fruit loaded smoothie, it keeps your blood sugar more stable without rising and falling drastically.  Have a wonderful saturday darlings!

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons flax seeds
  • 1 avocado
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 cups spinach
  • 1/2 cup sprouts
  • 1/2 cup parsley
  • 1 cup kale
  • About 1 cup water or cashew milk (depending on the consistency you prefer)
  •  1/2 juice of lemon
  • chunk of ginger

Garnish: parsley, chia seeds, coconut flakes

Place everything into a blender and blitz until smooth, drink immediately.
