Happy friday darlings!
The highlight of this day has been this little gorgeous bouquet of tiny pink roses that I couldn’t resist on buying for my brother and sister-in-law who are having a dinner party tomorrow for a few friends. I can’t wait to see my nephew again, who is by the way growing so fast. I can’t believe he will turn one already in June! I also can’t believe next week it will be May, the official doorstep to the beginning summer. I want spring to be all about putting emphasis on cultivating positivity. I want every day to be dedicated to gratefulness, learning and listening to others and being as positive as possible, even though it’s not always easy. I feel the more you preach it, the more you think it! hehe
I’ve gathered 5 ways to maintain a happy mindset this spring and they are; exercise, clean eating, sleep well, less social media, maximum experiences. I want to keep on exercising as sweating really makes my body feel good and push out all the toxins. I want to continue focus on clean eating and drink lots of flavoured waters. However, I want to keep it balanced so that I can enjoy everything and anything once in a while. For example, I have some macaroons in the fridge that I so will be enjoying tomorrow morning with some tea and since we have an open bottle of red wine in our kitchen, I will soon enjoy one glass of it. Food is what feeds our souls and plays a large role in our lives and I intend to keep it that way! I want to try avoiding social media before going to bed and rather read a good book as it creates a much better sleep. I actually miss the smell of a book and that calmness you feel when readying under the covers. Watching YouTube and instagram stories is highly addicting, but I’m bound to break that cycle and bring back traditions. Lastly, I want to do as much as possible this summer in my own home town and abroad, go to places and enjoy the summer days to the fullest. I don’t want to wait for the next day to do something, I want to live in the moment and make it so beautiful it is worth remembering and not fret about the future. I want to take road trips with my hubby, laugh with family and friends, chase after my nephew, swim in the lake, spend time in the nature, golf and get lost in new cities. What are your spring plans?
Today’s details are light grey and bluish tones that are my favourite this April. As I’ve moved around with the car today, I’ve optimistically put on a pair of lacquered blush flats that match these mini roses, bf jeans, an oversized shirt with tassels and a suede choker and jacket. I feel you can never go wrong with less saturated pastels this spring… Have an amazing weekend and I hope I didn’t sound like a cheesy infomercial today!
