Green Bowls & Saturdays

Morning! I wanted to share this green bowl recipe that I often make before a workout session. I’m going to do an easy body flow yoga at home to stretch my muscles and then hit the gym after that so I want to feel nourished, refreshed and energised. This bowl has lots of good fats and fibre from the rye oats, seeds and avocado and its super healthy all around. Loaded with spinach and kale and a bit of celery, this green delight will boost your morning just right, jumpstart your metabolism and hydrate your body. I sometimes boil a few eggs that I eat along side with the bowl to fuel up a bit more. Have a wonderful Saturday darlings!

Pre gym green bowl

  • 1 Banana
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  • 200 g quark
  • 2 tablespoons flax seeds
  • 3 rye porridge oats
  • 1 tablespoon cashew nuts
  • 1 cup kale
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 celery stalk
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 avocado
  • Water (from 3 tablespoons to 1/2 cup)

* Blend everything into a smooth paste and garnish with mint leaves, chia, coconut flakes and hemp seeds
