Porvoo (Borgå) is one of my favourite little towns in Finland that is located only 50km east of Helsinki. My friend and I decided to take a day trip there, to enjoy the beautiful summer weather, have some scandi lunch and walk around the little streets. We ate lunch by the river in Johans (Jokikatu 8) and got a seat right by the water. We ate some countryside style salads, a delicious fish plate and for dessert we took some creamy ice cream as we stopped at every little boutique. Porvoo is an idyllic little countryside town that not only has a gingerbread shaped church but pastel coloured facades, antique shops and little cafes and restaurants that surround with colourful pots of flowers. My all white maxi dress and embroidered robe suits the relaxed feeling of the medieval town that is meant for easy-going summer days like these. Finnish summer
