This glorious bowl is low in sugar that is made only from green vegetables that gives you a balanced hormone production. It is a natural pick-me-up bowl that starts your day with a bunch of nutrients, protein and vitamins. Loaded with minerals and fiber to support a digestive cleanse, this smoothie regains your glowing skin and boosts your mood. I’ve never tried zucchini before in smoothies, but I love the creamy almost sweet texture it provides. This summer bowl is flavourful and velvety that is cleansing, energizing and detoxing. It is topped with chia, my favourite herbs and sweet nectarine slices but you can use what ever you prefer. To make it more filling mix, add some banana, almond butter, nuts/seeds or granola.


  • 1 avocado
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint
  • 1/2 cup parsley
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 1 cup baby spinach
  • 2 tablespoons flaxseed
  • 1/2 medium-sized zucchini (about 1 cup chopped)
  • 125 g greek yogurt (or coconut milk for a vegan version)
  • 1 date

Garnish: lemon balm leaves, parsley, basil, chia seeds and sliced nectarine


Blend all the ingredients in a blender until thick and creamy. If your blender will not pulse, add a splash more liquid.

For a dairy free or vegan version, substitute the yogurt for coconut milk. In this case to get a more creamier affect, I would suggest freezing the zucchini beforehand and instead of using the chia for garnishing, let it expand in a bit of coconut milk for texture.
