Homegrown apples are at their best in september and cinnamon season is knocking on our door so I thought it was time to introduce the flavours of fall. My brother and sister-in-law brought me a basket full of fresh apples from their countryside and I decided to start the day with an amazing sweet green bowl. With a hint of vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg, this autumn bowl is a great welcome to september’s chillier days. The apples, avocado and banana add a creamy texture while the fresh herbs add a delicately fragrant finish.


  • 3 small seasonal apples
  • 1 cup spinach leaves
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup oat milk
  • 1/2 banana

garnish: ground nutmeg, herbs of choice (I used mint, parsley, oregano flowers)

Blend everything in a blender until smoothie. Add more oat milk to alter the consistency
