Happy New Year,

I feel like this past year has gone in a flash and here we are ready to celebrate 2018! This morning started with an amazing overnight vanilla chia pudding with passionfruit and coconut and a sunny walk in the woods. Today we are celebrating new years with a bunch of our friends first at our place and then heading for dinner at a new restaurant in town. I’ve picked up some fresh blooms, have drinks in the cold and soon the preparations for the evening will begin.

I’m grateful for the past year, I’ve made amazing memories and I close my eyes to old ends and open my heart to new beginnings! I have a feeling 2018 will be an exciting year so I end this year with a big thank you to all my friends, family and readers who have been of amazing support. The new year will be all about “why the hell not!”  I’m not much into resolutions, but my general goal in life is to learn to live in the now after all, that’s where life happens! Generally, I want to practice self gratitude and be mindful and just be happy! I want to always focus on the positive and not to judge, even if people judge you. Lastly, I want to spend time with people who make your heart sing. Tomorrow is the first blank page of a 365 page book… Let’s write a good one! I thought I would end this post a ginger cocktail recipe that we will be making today! I wish you all an amazing New Years filled with fireworks, champagne and lots of laughter!

Ginger cocktail

  • Roasted Clementine slices ( slice and place into a 120 celsius degrees oven for 3 hours. Turn once in a while)
  • Fresh Ginger & lemon ( Blend into a concentration with a bit of water)
  • Lime soda/ ginger ale/ soda
  • Ice cubes

Add the ginger concentration, mix in some lime soda of choice and vodka. Garnish with ice cubes, a sugar rim and roasted clementine
