As the summer leaves begin to change into a golden spectrum, the last of the wildflowers are starting to run their course. Light purple heather buds are just about to wilt and nature is in transition to another season. Did you know that dried buds of heather make a fragrant calming tea? Lingonberry is growing at its finest and there is a little bit of blueberries left on branches as well. This breakfast is made up of a scooping of thick Greek yogurt with toasted pine nuts and a good spoonful of runny honey. The berries are freshly picked from the bushes right beside me and breakfast is enjoyed on the edge of the pier. I love eating outside in the wilderness, everything just tastes that much better especially a warm cup of tea or coffee.
