’Barefeet in one with nature’

What an amazing week it was being away from the city and relaxing at the countryside. It was the first time in a very long time since also staying under the same roof with my parents, which was really lovely. I spent all my time outdoors, picking wildflowers and having picnics in my favorite spots. Siena was over the moon playing outside and swimming all the time. The weather was abnormally warm for Finland, where temperatures rose to over 30 degrees celcius on a daily basis. Luckily, we have aircon at the house and a lake just by our feet. We cooked good food, swam, took saunas and slept good nights. I can feel the baby kicking on a daily basis and we are going on week 23 at the moment, which is simply an amazing feeling.

This is my go to spot on our second pier that is left more natural with the stones leading to the lake. I love having breakfast here, listening to the sound of the waves and watching the birds in the water. I love all the delicate growth of the water hay and wild flowers that peak through between the rocks. My belly really reacts to the heat as well, it can be smaller in the morning but grows during the day with the heat and drinking of water.

This is the little road that leads to our property, love all the white birch trees and roadside flowers. The street also has a lot of wild strawberries
