‘Slowing down with an Espresso’

Corte Mainolda, Italian Countryside

As I hear the masseria’s espresso machine work its magic I smell the strong coffee drifting in the air, it smells divine. Sometimes all you need is less to be happy, especially during moments like this. Standing under these shaded grand arched doors, listening to the chickens in the backyard and breathing in the magnificent Italian country air, while my lips touch some home made apple pie and an espresso. There is no such thing as a perfect life, but its all about collecting these little moments, to slow down and embrace the current. This gives me a peace of mind, I’ve hoped to capture the essence of the Italian countryside through my lens. I love the dark and dramatic colours and the natural light that pushes in through the windows, the overall effect is peaceful and undisturbed.

  1. Beautiful shots, I love the perfect contrast between light and shadows, almost like a Caravaggio oil painting …. and I can smell that caffe’ espresso 😉
