Pick-me-up ♥

‘A message to all my gals, who need a little pick-me-up’

Ok, drink a cup of tea in bed from your favourite mug, get a fresh croissant from your bakery and treat yourself to a bouquet of flowers even if you are buying them just for yourself! Just because you are worth it… ok really trying not to sound like a l’oreal campaign or a cliché with this statement, but sometimes a little pick-me-up is the best thing you can do for yourself, in your own terms.

Recently I’ve been having all kinds of conversations with my dear friends about life and it’s obstacles. I’ve been told at times that I’m a good at giving advice and being a natural listener and caretaker at heart, I love to make someone feel better and talking is completely therapeutic for both parties. So with this post, I just wanted to empower my girlfriends all around me with a little uplifting message about life. I want every single one of you to know that this world is a better more unique place because of you and together we stand strong without letting anyone fall. Its ok and normal to feel sad and lonely at times and without even recognising I think many woman have more in common than they even realize. I want this to be a message of encouragement, a message of hope for you all; even if life doesn’t always go as planned, there are the little things that will start to make you feel better as time goes by. It starts with something small but eventually spirals into something much bigger. A single positive thought can alter the direction of the mood in greater way than expected. Time builds wisdom which brings awareness that then builds self-worth. Self worth is the root to happiness in so many ways as it stems to respect, confidence, the way you treat others and yourself and even a subdivision of life values. May this be a message to my newly single gals or the ones whom are stuck in a rut, sometimes our lives have to be completely changed and rearranged to relocate us to the place where we want to be.  A happy self builds from within, an illusion of happiness that was once shattered comes back slowly to the tempo of your own life. It doesn’t happen over night, but it does happen, which is the key word. I know some of my friends don’t believe that, but I know them to be stronger than they think as they are overshadowed by negatively. Time heals all wounds and I know each and every one of you will come back stronger than before because you are fierce and exceptional woman. Everything happens for a reason and someday everything will be clear in your minds but meanwhile its best to laugh at the confusion and smile through the tears and count your blessings as we all are truly blessed. I know its hypocritical of me to give advice like this, but I also have gone through terrible breakups and funk-filled phases to find my happy place so I do know its a very possible path.  Ladies, sometimes when s*** just hits the fan, practise kindness (as there can never be enough of that), let go of what you can’t control, be productive yet calm and most of all just breathe. And finally, never look back… as you are not going that way anymore.
